Betty L. (Voyles) Brown

Betty Louise Brown, 94, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Liberty Village in Clinton, IL.  Cremation rites were accorded.  Services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Brown was born, December 3, 1924, to the late Reynolds R. & Lillian R. (Donaldson) Voyles.  She was a 1943 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL.  She married Omer F. Brown on June 19, 1943, in Ozark, Alabama.  He preceded her in death on January 29, 2017.  Betty and Omer operated their Brown Aluminum business in Hillsboro with the help of their sons and daughter.   They enjoyed gardening and sharing their harvest bounty with friends and relatives.  Betty also worked at the Capri IGA and retired in 1986 after 22 years. 

Mrs Brown is survived by four sons, Fred Brown of Forsyth, IL; Ron Brown of Morton, IL; Tim Brown of Champaign, IL and Dennis Brown; one daughter, Cathy Brown of Bloomington, IL; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandson and two brothers, William Voyles of Butler, IL & David Voyles of Godfrey, IL.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Dustin Brown & Karen Kerr and four brothers, Reynolds Voyles Jr., Richard Voyles, James Voyles & Jack Voyles.
