Carl T. Hatfield, 73, of Coffeen, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 8:18 p.m. at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date in West Virginia.
Mr. Hatfield was born on May 5, 1945, in Simon, WV to the late Elliott Lee and Margie Looney (Lester) Hatfield. He was a coal miner in West Virginia, a member of United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), adored his granddaughters and his companion dog, Scruff, and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Hatfield is survived by two daughters, Natasha (husband Jeff) Cline of Coffeen, IL and Tammy (husband Greg) Alford of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Brandi (husband Seth) Cline, Traci (husband Steven) Browning, and Lassie Cline; seven great-grandchildren, Rylan Cline, Raeghan Cline, Reid Cline, Rayce Cline, Lincoln Browning, Kylie Alford, and Heather Williams; seven brothers, Armour Hatfield, Carroll Hatfield, Roger Hatfield, Bernie Hatfield, Junior Hatfield, Otis Hatfield, and Brendon Hatfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hatfield was also preceded in death by a brother, Willie Hatfield.
Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
