David Cole Boone

David C. Boone, 71, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 12:15 a.m., at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.  Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned at this time.

Mr. Boone was born on February 5, 1947, in Hillsboro, IL,  to the late Ross Ellis and Josephine (Cole) Boone. He was a 1965 Graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL, and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Boone was the owner of the Coliseum Ballroom in Benld, IL, as well as an artist. He loved to paint, and had painted many murals around the area. 

Mr. Boone is survived by nieces and nephews, Rhonda Edwards, Daniel Boone, and Tobi Buchanan, along with several great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Boone was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ross Boone.
