Jimmie Dean White, 72, of Taylor Springs, IL, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at 1:45 p.m. in Greenville, IL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL. Jeff Benton will officate. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.
Mr. White was born on October 2, 1946, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Wilbur W. and Mima Jane (Lyerla) White. He was a 1965 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 520. He owned and operated White House Lounge in Taylor Springs, IL, My Place Bar & Grill in Taylor Springs, IL, and B & B Convenience Store in Butler, IL He also owned several rental properties and was an entrepreneur. He had married Sue Smith and they later divorced. Mr. White was a member of Operating Engineers Local 520 in Mitchell, IL; Masonic Lodge in Donnellson, IL and he was a Shriner and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL. He loved fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
Mr. White is survived by three sons, Shane Dean White of Pensacola, FL; Kelly Scott White of Pensacola, FL and Bentley James White of Greenville, IL; two grandchildren, Alexa White and Justin White; one great grandchild, Cade Maciver and one brother, Charles “Buck” (wife, Cindy) White of Coffeen, IL. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his step father, Jake Holloway; two brothers, Russell Marvin White in infancy and David Lee “Crockett” White on March 15, 2012; one sister, Joy Ann White in infancy and one sister-in-law Carolyn Sue Billo White.
