Shirley Jean Snow, 81, of Lawrenceville, IL, formerly of Coffeen, IL passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Toberman Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Toberman Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Rev. Dwayne Sovdi will officiate. Burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.
Mrs. Snow was born, January 26, 1938 in Ramsey, IL, to the late Nelson & Larraine (Merriman) Hill. She was a graduate of Hinckley High School in Hinckley, IL. She married Benny L. Snow on February 11, 1956 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL. He preceded in death on December 12, 2003. She had lived in Dekalb, IL area, moved to Coffeen, IL in 1965 and then Lawrenceville, IL in 2015. She had worked in food service as a restaurant cook. She was a member of the New Life Assembly in Coffeen, IL. Ms. Snow loved to play bingo, read, and spend time with family and friends.
Mrs. Snow is survived by her three children, Terry (wife, Brenda) Snow of Texas; Tom (wife, Linda) Snow of Coffeen, IL and Angela (husband, Gary) McCaslin of Sumner, IL; eight grandchildren, Tim Snow, Michelle Bass, Brandon McCaslin, Travis McCaslin, Traci McCaslin, Ashley Mahan, Kayla Taylor, and Austin Fairless; sixteen great grandchildren; and two siblings, Diane (husband, Marty) Kinney of Sandwich, IL & Dan (wife, Peg) Hill of Sandwich, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
