Virginia L (Davis) Casey

Virginia Casey, age 95, died March 4, 2019 at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center in Hillsboro, IL. Virginia married Norman Casey in 1943. He preceded her in death in 2011.

The Casey family moved from Metropolis, IL to Hillsboro in 1964. Virginia “Ginny” owned and operated Ginny’s Sewing Center in the 70’s and 80’s. She enjoyed Bingo, camping, bowling, knitting, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL.

Ginny is survived by two daughters, LouAnn Trebing (Fred) of Edwardsville, IL, and Cheryl Jarman (Doug) of Hillsboro, IL. Grandchildren surviving are Casey Bassford (Don) of Auburn, IL, Katy Evans (Cory), Hillsboro, IL, Mitchell Jarman, Ottowa, IL, Ashley Harness (Austin), Troy, IL, Brittany Clark (Justin), Maryville, IL, along with five great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Norman, she was proceded in death by sister Louise Rackley, and brother Sam Davis.

The family has chosen to celebrate their mother and grandmother’s life with a private family gathering.
