Ann Tindall Obituary

Ann Elizabeth (Mullins) Tindall, 84, formerly of Peoria, IL, and Largo, FL, died at Library Terrace Assisted Living on February 21, 2024. She was born in DeKalb, IL on January 22, 1940 to the late Alvin and Mary (Ware) Mullins.
Ann married Gary W. Tindall on December 27, 1970 in Pekin, IL. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2001.
Ann was a 1958 graduate of Hillsboro (IL) High School.  She spent her college years on the Illinois campus of Carthage College.  She graduated in 1962 and was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame as a charter member in the fall of 1984.  Countless fans remember Ann as the standout catcher for the famed Pekin Lettes softball team.  Ann was inducted into the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame both individually and as a part of the 1965 Lettes team.  Ann taught physical education and health at Peoria High School from 1962 until her retirement in 1993.  After a short time as snowbirds, Ann and Gary settled at Palm Hill Country Club in Largo, FL to enjoy their retirement years.  While in Florida, Ann forged many friendships and frequently volunteered her time both at Palm Hill and with Suncoast Hospice.  Her Florida home became a popular vacation destination for family and friends over the years.  Ann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL and Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Seminole, FL.  She had a love of music and was a member of the choir at both churches.
For all of her interests, Ann had no love greater than that of her family.  She is survived and will be sadly missed by: her son Christian (Wendy) Tindall of Mount Pleasant, WI; her step-children Mark Tindall of Stockton, CA and Robin (Jeff) Billington of Normal, IL; son-in-law Richard Tomevi of Carbondale, IL; sister Marilyn (Mike) Maccanelli of Butler, IL and brother John Mullins of Elgin, IL; grandchildren Payton (Zach) Borens, Kaleb Tindall, and Maxwell Tindall; step-grandchildren Shawn Tindall, Sarah Zubair, Tim Scrogham (Mingchao Zhang), J.J. Billington, Rylee (Jordan) Walker, Danielle (C.J.) Nelson, Jack LaLonde, Andrew LaLonde, and Addison LaLonde; great grandson Braelon Borens; step-great grandchildren Abdel Ndiaye, Adam Ndiaye, Marieme Ndiaye, Zahra Zubair, Nadia Tindall, Ileana Nelson, and Gabriel Nelson.
She was also preceded in death by her step-daughter Laura Tomevi, brother Robert Mullins and sister-in-law Joyce Mullins.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staffs at both Library Terrace Assisted Living and Hospice Alliance for their compassionate care.
