Barbara Ann Fenton, 78, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at 4:55 a.m., at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Jeff Hemken, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Family and friends may meet at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, at 10:45 a.m., to process to the cemetery. Those who wish to attend graveside services are asked to practice social distancing as recommended by the CDC Guidelines.
Mrs. Fenton was born, December 23, 1941, to the late Harold & Gladys (Christian) Morrell. She married Bruce Fenton on October 10, 1987 in Hillsboro, IL and he survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Fenton is retired from Hillsboro School District #3 in Hillsboro, IL, with 27 years of service. She was known for her sewing and making of boutique Barbe Doll clothes for many little girls in the area. She loved children and had babysat for many.
Mrs. Fenton is survived by her husband, Bruce Fenton of HIllsboro, IL; three children, Bob (wife, Tina) Whitlow of Pawnee, IL; Bill (wife, Patti) Whitlow of Witt, IL and Karen (husband, Jeff) Dozier of Springfield, IL; one step-son, Bruce E. (wife, Angelia) Fenton, Jr. of Mt. Clair, IL; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Mrs. Fenton was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Borror and brother-in-law, Danny Borror.
