Chad Michael “Duck” Stewart, 44, of Butler, IL passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 3:15 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Father Dan Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Duck was born on December 29, 1976 in Springfield, IL to Dale and Gail (Sanders) Stewart, who survive in Hillsboro, IL. He was a 1995 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL; he attended Northeast Oklahoma University, Oklahoma State, and Southwest Oklahoma State where he was a member of the Rodeo Team as a Bulldogger. He worked as a stationary firefighter at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro, IL. Duck was a member of the Illinois Federation of Hunting Dogs and Carlyle Lake Water Fowlers; he had a love of hunting coyote, deer, turkey, and waterfowl. He also loved competing in truck pulling events. He had lived in Hillsboro, IL and Butler, IL.
Along with his parents, Dale and Gail (Sanders) Stewart, Duck is survived by his fiancé Stephanie (Adams) Keiser and her son Kaleb Keiser; as well as his grandmother Nola Sanders of Ramsey, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Warren Sanders and Cecil L. & Mary Edith Stewart, Sr.
