Larry E. Pierson

Larry E. Pierson, 83, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021, at 6:50 p.m., at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab, Taylor Springs, IL.  Private Family Visitation will be held at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Private Family Graveside services will be held at Old Union Cemetery, Louisville, IL.  Burial will take place in Old Union Cemetery, Louisville, IL.  Mark Noyes, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.

Mr. Pierson was born on March 6, 1937, in Louisville, IL on the family farm, to the late Harvey Edward and Gladys Faye (Smith) Pierson.  He was a 1955 graduate of North Clay High School, Louisville, IL and worked as a substation electrician for 40+ years for Illinois Power.  Mr. Pierson lived in Louisville, IL, Decatur, IL, and Hillsboro, IL during his lifetime.  He married Nancy Suzanne Eytchison on June 8, 1956 at Hord Congregational Christian Church, Hord, IL.  She survives in Hillsboro, IL.  Mr. Pierson was a member of Hord Congregational Christian Church, Hord, IL; a member of IBEW Local 309 for 60 years, and loved reading, spending time in his workshop, camping, and working outside.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pierson is survived by his children, Julie K. (husband Kelly) Marcolini and Debra D Howard; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pierson was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tom Howard and parents-in-law, Paul and Lois Eytchison.

Memorials may be given to PAWS Care or Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
