Mary (Marfell) Tobias

Mary Tobias, 81 of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 5:15 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and no services are being held at this time.

Ms. Tobias was born on June 19, 1941 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Ed and Retta (Sawyer) Marfell. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Class of 1959 and later attained her Associates degree from a college in Indiana. She married Guy Edward and they later divorced. Ms. Tobias had worked as a Medical Assistant for the Telfer Clinic. Ms. Tobias was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She had lived in the Hillsboro area her entire life.

Ms. Tobias is survived by her son, Mark E. (wife Melanie) Tobias of Utah and her grandchildren, Ethan Tobias and Erica Tobias both of Utah. She was preceded by her parents, Ed and Retta (Sawyer) Marfell and her brother, Alan Marfell.
