Nancy Ellen Darda

Nancy Ellen Darda 61, of Danville, IL previously of Champaign, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 4:38 a.m. at her residence in Danville, IL. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Stefan Munker, Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Ms. Darda was born on March 11, 1961 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Jerry Darda and Ruth Ellen (Meyer) Darda. She was a 1979 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and went on to Eastern Illinois University to attain her bachelor’s in Recreational Therapy. She had recently retired from Champaign School District where she worked as an after school program instructor. Ms. Darda was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL. She loved crafting and riding her bicycle. Ms. Darda had lived in Hillsboro, IL; Champaign, IL; and Danville, IL during her lifetime.

Ms. Darda is survived by her brother, David (wife, Patty) Darda of Ellensburg, WA; nieces and nephews, Joe (wife, Samantha) Darda, Zack Darda, and Sam Darda; and her aunt, Betty Darda of Hillsboro, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Darda and Ruth Ellen (Meyer) Darda.

Memorials may be given to the Hillsboro Education Foundation.
