Peggy Andrews Pogue, of Hillsboro, Illinois, passed away on May 15, 2020 at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hillsboro, Illinois. Graveside services will be held later this summer in Butler, Illinois, where she will be laid to rest at Wares Grove Cemetery.
Peggy was born on February 20, 1935, in Lexington, Indiana, to Jesse Miles and Hallie Lee (Bloyd) Andrews. She graduated from Lexington High School, class of 1953. Peggy married Billy Pogue on March 6 at First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, IN, where she was a member. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. She liked to travel, read autobiographies, and take care of her flowers. Peggy also enjoyed taking walks, being outside, and spending time with her family. She spent the last years of her life as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Pogue of Hillsboro, IL; her children, Kathy (Garry) Miner of Scottsburg, IN; Bille Ann Owens (Jerry Sammons) of Butler, Illinois and Todd, (Jo) Pogue of Ripon, California; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Hobson Andrews of Scottsburg, IN. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Irene Johnson and Mary Peters and 8 brothers, Blonde Andrews, Charles Andrews, Denzil Andrews, Jesse J Andrews Jr., John Andrews, Marshall Andrews, Bill Andrews, and Roy Andrews.
