Robert "Bob" Ware Mullins

Robert "Bob" Ware Mullins, 83, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 12:37 p.m. at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro, IL.  Vistiation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler, IL.  Rev. Stefan Munker, Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.  Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery, in Butler, IL, with Military Rites by V.F.W. Post #1306 and American Legion Post #425.

Mr. Mullins was born on June 1, 1937, in DeKalb, IL, to the late Alvin L. & Mary Elizabeth (Ware) Mullins.  He was a 1955 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and had serviced in the Army between Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.  Mr. Mullins married Joyce M. Westphal, on April 24, 1966, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis, IL.  She preceded in death on December 10, 2000.  He had worked for F.S. for 42 years, where he ran a gas truck for 30 + years and was Manager for his last 7 years.  Mr. Mullins was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL; Moose Lodge #1377 in Hillsboro, IL; Farm Bureau in Hillsboro, IL and a Volunteer at Bremer Sanctuary in Hillsboro, IL. He had lived in Shabona, IL, Butler, IL, and Hillsboro, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Mullins is survived by one son, Eric (wife, Tammy) Mullins of Pawnee, IL; daughter in law, Belinda Mullins of Lombard, IL; five grandchildren, Brittany (husband Isiah) Wills, Sammy Jo Reardon, Brandi Reardon, Kaitlyn Mullins & Zachary Mullins; one brother, A. John Mullins of Elgin, IL and two sisters, Ann Tindall of Kenosha, WI and Marilyn (husband, Michael) Maccanelli, Butler, IL.  Along with his parents and wife, Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Mullins.
