Timothy Lane Hand

Timothy Lane Hand, 64, of Sherman, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 6:20 p.m. at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded and arrangements are pending at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Hand was born on March 28, 1957 in Carlsbad, NM, to the late Archie Lee and Lura (Ramsey) Hand Jr. He was a 1975 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Hand married Sandra Porter on July 14, 1979 in Hillsboro, IL; she survives in Sherman, IL. Mr. Hand had worked as a Coal Miner at Coffeen Coal Mine in Coffeen, IL and later for the State of Illinois Department of Revenue. He was a member of the United Mine Workers, and had live in Hillsboro, IL and Sherman, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Hand is survived by his wife, Sandra Hand of Sherman, IL, his son, Zachary (wife, Tracy) Hand of Aurora, IL, and his sister, Trudy Collins of Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Lee and Lura (Ramsey) Hand Jr., and his brother, Terry Hand.
